Calendar updated with a few more repeat showings for things and the date for the 'Ninja Assassin' R2 dvd release.
'Measure for Measure' begins its final 2 weeks at the Almeida tomorrow. If you follow the Almeida on twitter then they usually 'tweet' when returns are available. I finally got to see the play yesterday afternoon and cannot recommend it enough. The acting from all involved is superb and the sets are fabulous, making great use of the small stage space. Make sure you get to your seat early as the Duke is on-stage for a good 5 or 10 minutes before the play actually starts! I'm still thinking about the play today, this production certainly made an impression on me...

Various theatre websites are reporting that Ben will be appearing as the Duke of Vienna in the Almeida production of 'Measure for Measure' early next year. Joingin him in the cast are Rory Kinnear and Anna Maxwell Martin. The play runs from Feb 11th until April 10th 2010.

Last night was the 65th Theatre World Awards ceremony where the cast of The Norman Conquests received a special award. At the Theatre World website you can see photos of Ben and co-star Amelia Bullmore and also backstage photos from the ceremony.

The cast of "The Norman Conquests" met the US press on Thursday, Broadway World has photos and a report. There is also now an official website for the production.

Many sources are now reporting the news of the Broadway transfer for the Old Vic's production of "The Norman Conquests". According to the reports, all of the original cast will reprise their roles at the Circle in the Square theatre for a 4 month run beginning in April. You can read more about this story at Playbill
The Canadian station CBC will show "Marple: A pocket full of Rye"on Sunday 22nd February at 8pm EST.

Plenty of calendar updates. The new Marple adaptation "A pocket full of Rye" premieres on Irish channel RTE1 on November 8th at 4.20pm. . No word yet as when it will be shown in the rest of the UK, the ITV1 website seems to indicate early in 2009.
On Friday 14th November at 2pm at the Old Vic, there's an "understudy" performance of "Table Manners" from "The Norman Conquests". Tickets are free on the door and Ben will be playing Tom in this performance.

There's an interview with the cast of "The Norman Conquests" in todays Times and there also photos from the after party of the first night gala performance of "Table Manners" at Whatsonstage.com
I saw "Table Manners" at the matinee yesterday and it was completely fabulous, if you have the opportunity to get to the Old Vic and see any of the plays then please go! :)

Last years pilot episode of 'Freezing' has been turned into a series which will air on consecutive nights on BBC2 during the week of 16-22nd February. Ben reprises his role of Stephen in all 3 episodes. Find out more at the BBC Press Office site
