Synopsis: "Hugely successful comedy drama following the chaotic lives of a group of perpetually juvenile teachers, whose specialist subjects include beer-drinking, kebab-eating and ineptness with members of the opposite sex." - Channel 4 website.

Liz played Eileen, the "fit dinnerlady", who is introduced in Episode 7. PE teacher Brian [Adrian Bower]fancies her and asks his friend Simon [Andrew Lincoln] to ask her out for him, but she dates Simon instead. She makes brief appearances in Episodes 8 and 9, where Brian is trying to forget her but is failing miserably. In episode 11, Brian finally gets a date with Eileen after he sticks up for her when Bob is whinging about the canteen food.

"When Diane Cooper, a child minder is found stabbed in the neck at her home there is a pool of urine at the top of the stairs. DCI Janine Lewis (Caroline Quentin) tracks down Diane's sister Natalie (Lisa Millet) who tells her Dianne, stole her fiancé, Will (Dean Andrews). A new detective, Vicki Swift (Liz White) teams with Shap (Nicholas Murchie) and they discover that Diane recently went speed dating.

Shap and Vicki interview Bob (Ralph Ineson) and Matilda Unwin (Maggie O'Neill), the parents of 12-year-old Fergus, the child Diane was looking after on the day she was murdered. It turns out Fergus wet himself. At last the team has a witness. But Fergus's parents explain that he can't help them. He is autistic and refuses to communicate with anyone.

DI Richard Mayne (Ian Kelsey) discovers that Will had a restraining order preventing him from contacting Diane. Will shrugs it off and claims he hadn't seen Diane for months, but both Bob and Larry (Kevin Doyle), Diane's landlord, suggest he was pestering her. Then Richard informs Janine that Will's car has been run off the road - someone has tried to kill him. Janine now has two crimes to solve."

Synopsis from the BBC1 website: "Angela Quinn (Jane Horrocks) is a mum of three. She's looking for some extra-marital excitement, outside her safe, but boring, marriage to Arthur (Daniel Ryan). She finds friend and neighbour Peter Harper (Shaun Dooley) only too happy to oblige.

Together, they indulge in breakfast sessions of sex, chocolate and escapism from the struggle and monotony of family life.

But a driving accident in the street, involving Angela's lover, throws her emotions into turmoil and leaves her family devastated.

Peter knocks down Angela's daughter, who ends up in a coma. She pulls through but is left in a wheelchair. Peter denies any blame, and a court finds him not guilty of dangerous driving. But he admits to Angela he was distracted while driving past her house by thinking of their intimacy.

Angela ensures Peter is punished by telling his wife Eileen (Liz White) about their affair. Eileen chucks him out, while Arthur stands by Angela."
